FIT 0/16 and Pueri Expo - Top result for new trade fair duo in Brazil


Everything for children at one single place:
The new trade fair duo FIT 0/16 and Pueri Expo is the new hotspot on South America’s market for baby and child products as the figures of the parallel staged trade fairs confirm. After closing the doors of the trade fair in Sao Paulo, the organizer Koelnmesse counted 5,750 trade visitors from Brazil and South America which experienced 138 national and international brands from the sectors kids fashion, childcare and toys. “I am happy that we reached to set up a successful premiere event inspired by our leading trade fair Kind + Jugend with a top result despite the difficult economic situation in Brazil”, says Gerald Böse, Chief Executive Officer of Koelnmesse GmbH. “The presence of high quality visitors from South America and international top brands plus the satisfaction among all trade fair participants show that we put the trade fair duo on the right track to become the leading platform of the sector in Latin America.” It was the first time that FIT 0/16 – The International Trade Show for Baby & Child Wear – and Pueri Expo – The International Trade Fair for Baby & Children Products – were organized simultaneously. South America’s biggest trade fair for baby and child products anticipated the spring/summer collections for 2017 in Brazil showcasing a lot of childcare and baby products launches during the four days of the event. Market leading fashion brands such as Tommy Hilfiger Kids, Calvin Klein Jeans and Authoria were exhibiting together with the childcare brands Kidkraft, Trunki, ABC Design and Ergobaby among others.

The complementary concept of the trade fair duo was received very well by the visitors, since the retail stores offer all kind of product mixes around the kids universe. The highly professional supporting program facilitated the dialogue between visitors and experts from the sector.

The exhibitors of FIT 0/16 and Pueri Expo were very satisfied with the outcome of the trade fair: They praised both the number and in particular, the quality of the trade visitors as well as the amount of time the visitors spent at the fair. The positive response of the exhibitors confirms the concept of the trade fair of bringing together the demand of the top buyers of the Brazilian and South American market with the offer of international high quality products. 

Clayton Bittencourt, Sales Manager of Bambollina (exhibitor of FIT 0/16): “We are pretty happy with our first participation in the event. We could welcome a good customer flow at our booth. The buyers came from new sales regions all over Brazil and from other parts of South America, like Uruguay! We made new prospective clients, as it was our main goal.” Especially, the new trade fair Pueri Expo was received very well by exhibitors and visitors. 

Ana Carolina Itzaina, director of Oasis Importadora, was pleased meeting the most important visitors from Brazil at Pueri Expo: “I am very thankful because Koelnmesse brought visitors from every corner of Brazil to São Paulo, from Acre, Porto Alegre, Northeast. The visitors have decision-making power so it's very important we have contact with them.”

High quality visitors from Brazil and abroad 
For the first time in the history of FIT 0/16, a lot of visitors came from nine countries outside of Brazil, for example from Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Panama and Paraguay.  

Thayane Ramalho, General Manager of Biramar (exhibitor at FIT 0/16): “We already knew Kind+Jugend, so our expectations were high. We were making a lot of new contacts, I just attended new clients from Uruguay and Portugal, something that never happened before, because international marketing was underexplored. We are exhibiting here for over 20 years, so we are sure that our partnership with the event now organized by Koelnmesse will continue.”

More exhibitor statements 
Claudia Cipriani, Owner of Menina Rio (exhibitor at FIT 0/16): “We sent some of our new shoes to the stylist and all buyers came asking for the presented pieces, so that was a huge success! We had very busy and interesting days here, a lot of important buyers.”

Celso Portásio, Owner of Orbita Infantil (exhibitor at Pueri Expo) emphasized the good visitor quality: “It was a unique opportunity to participate in the fair, we had new access to buyers from several cities in Brazil, so I will for sure return next year”.

Peroba Móveis returned to the fair after a long time when they heard of the new organization. The representative Ari Graciano is happy with the results. “We gained several new retailers and the overturn is much better than we expected, excellent organized as well. We are already preparing to come to the next edition.”

Event program 
The fair offered a new Trend Forum with free presentations to exhibitors and visitors with new insights to the local market and how to improve sales in child retail. Speakers from Usefashion and Sebrae presented their knowledge to the participants during all days of the event. In addition, the exhibitors had the services of consultants during the fair. Inteligência Voulez partnered with the event in a ‘Box Consultoria’ with speed dating like advice on how to modernize fashion brands and marketing. The exhibitors also received a training by consultant Fernando Lummertz how to make more use of the participation after the fair.
